Giorgi Kvirikashvili: “The Government of San Marino has always been reaffirming its support publicly for Georgia’s territorial integrity”

Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked Minister for Foreign and Political Affairs of San Marino Pasquale Valentini for his support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the non-recognition policy towards the occupied territories of Georgia.
 
At the joint press conference with his Sammarinese colleague, Giorgi Kvirikashvili underlined that representatives of the occupation regime have been actively trying to establish relations with San Marino, however, the Government of San Marino has continued to publicly support Georgia’s territorial integrity.  
  
“I would like to cordially thank the Minister for his support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for the non-recognition policy towards the occupied territories of Georgia. Despite the fact that in the recent past representatives of the occupied regions actively tried to establish relations with San Marino at various levels, the Government of San Marino has always continued to publicly support Georgia’s territorial integrity”.  
 
At the meeting, the two Ministers discussed the current situation in Georgia’s occupied territories, ways for peaceful resolution of the conflict and the ongoing developments in the region.   

Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Pasquale Valentini expressed the hope that the high-level visits between the two countries will continue in the future promoting co-operation between Georgia and San Marino and bringing it to a qualitatively new level. “I believe that through joint efforts we will make a maximum use of our potential to enhance the current co-operation in the future”.
 
Minister for Foreign and Political Affairs of San Marino Pasquale Valentini paid his first official visit to Georgia on 20 November 2015.
