Giorgi Kvirikashvili has held bilateral meetings within the framework of the OSCE Ministerial Council

 On the sidelines of the 22nd meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Finland, Malta and Andorra, as well as with the Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
During the meetings with his European colleagues, Giorgi Kvirikashvili focused on the priorities of Georgia’s foreign policy, European and Euro-Atlantic integration process, Association Agenda, progress achieved in the implementation of the Visa Liberalisation Action Plan. Talking points also included  the security situation in the region as well as in Georgia’s occupied territories. The Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as for its European integration.
At the meeting with the Maltese Foreign Minister George Vella, the sides underlined the importance of bilateral relations in the areas of economy, transport and tourism and the need to share experience in this direction. Special mention was made of successful co-operation with the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies under the Maltese University.
At the meeting with the Andorran Foreign Minister Gilbert Saboya Sunyé, discussions focused on the possibility to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union. Gilbert Saboya Sunyé as the foreign minister of the country engaged in negotiations towards signing the Association Agreement with the European Union, emphasised the importance of Georgia’s experience in this regard.  The two ministers also expressed their interest in developing co-operation in the areas of trade and tourism.
At the meeting with the Spanish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Giorgi Kvirikashvili expressed his gratitude for Spain’s support for Georgia paying special attention to prospects for the further strengthening of economic co-operationbetween the two countries.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili also met the Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini. Discussions focused on co-operation in various areas. Special attention was paid to the memorandum signed between the FINPRO and the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is aimed at promoting trade and business relations between the two countries, as well as at encouraging investments.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili took part in the 22nd meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade, on 3 and 4 December 2015.
