Next Meeting of the Lithuania-Georgia Commission on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Issues will be held in Tbilisi

12.01.2017, Trakai – Within the framework of his working visit to Lithuania, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held a bilateral meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart, Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius.
The Ministers highly appraised the friendly relations between the two countries highlighting a broad spectrum of bilateral co-operation. They paid special attention to Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration issues emphasizing the importance of finalizing in due time the process of Georgia’s visa liberalization with the EU.

The Ministers noted with satisfaction the practice of regular consultations within the framework of the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Charter and expressed their readiness to hold their next meeting in Georgia in 2017.
The Ministers exchanged their views on co-operation between their two countries within the framework of international organizations, as well as on important issues on the global agenda.
