Mikheil Janelidze has met his Dutch counterpart, Foreign Minister Bert Koenders

3.09.2016, Tbilisi – The Foreign Ministers of Georgia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands highlighted the successful co-operation between the two countries emphasising the Dutch Government’s strong support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
 
Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met his Dutch counterpart, Foreign Minister Bert Koenders within the framework of the informal meeting of EU-Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers.
 
The sides discussed the issues relating to co-operation between the two countries speaking extensively about the agenda of Georgia-EU relations. The Dutch Foreign Minister reaffirmed his readiness to support Georgia’s visa liberalization process.
 
Positive appraisal was given to various programmes implemented by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Georgia, which bring tangible results and substantially influence the development process in Georgia.
 
The Georgian Foreign Minister also thanked Bert Koenders for active engagement of the Netherlands in the implementation process of the NATO Substantial Package. Bert Koenders expressed his wish to pay a visit to Georgia.
