Mikheil Janelidze has met representatives of the Georgian diaspora in France

08.02.2017, Paris – As part of his official visit to France, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held a meeting  with Georgian citizens living in France. 
During the meeting with representatives of the Georgian diaspora, the Minister spoke about the Government’s policy with respect to Georgian citizens living abroad, including projects and programmes the Foreign Ministry plans to carry out for achieving greater involvement of the Georgian Diaspora in the development processes of the country and ensuring that the Government reacts adequately and timely to the needs of Georgian compatriots living abroad.

Representatives of the Georgian Diaspora briefed the Minister on the activities of the Georgian Diaspora Organizations, as well as on the issues the solution of which calls for assistance from the Government. They also expressed close interest in the visa-liberalization processes and conditions for granting visa-free travel to Georgian citizens.
The Georgian Foreign Minister expressed his readiness to continue intensive direct communication with representatives of the Georgian Diaspora.
