The Georgian Foreign Ministry has hosted children living in the vicinity of the occupation line

14.01.2017, Tbilisi – Children living in the villages across the occupation line in the Shida Kartli region were invited to the Georgian Foreign Ministry for New Year celebrations.

About 56 kids from the Kareli and Gori Municipalities visited the Ministry where they were met by their beloved fairytale characters and Santa Claus.

At the end of the celebrations, the kids received gifts specifically collected for them by the Consulate-General of Georgia to New York and representatives of the Georgian diaspora.
Minister Mikheil Janelidze personally took part in the celebrations offered to the little guests.
“We are happy to celebrate New Year in company with our endearing guests. We are perfectly aware of the problems you are facing because of the occupation. The Georgian Government, the Foreign Ministry do their utmost to ensure that these problems are addressed, through the assistance of the international community. Happy New Year! We are sure that the future you are facing will be happy and successful” – the Minister said when speaking to the kids.  

It is for the fourth time that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has organized various activities for the kids living in the vicinity of the occupation life.
