The delegation of the Development Bank of Austria will visit Georgia

On 3 June 2016, on the sidelines of the visit to Austria, Georgian Foreign Minister held a meeting with Member of the Executive Board of the Development Bank of Austria Andrea Hagmann.

The Development Bank of Austria has been carrying out the projects for development and promotion of energy sector in Georgia since 2007. The Development Bank actively co-operates with the Energy Ministry of Georgia in the spheres of rehabilitation and construction of power transmission lines, effective use of hydro-resources and financial support of construction of small and medium hydroelectric power stations.

At the meeting, Andrea Hagmann informed the Minister on the plans of the Development Bank of Austria concerning Georgia. The Bank expressed its desire to continue financing of energy projects.

Mikheil Janelidze informed Andrea Hagmann on the recent processes in Georgia and the Government’s new initiatives; pledged the assistance and support of the Georgian Foreign Ministry in the process of business activity in Georgia. In conclusion, the two sides agreed that the delegation of the Development Bank of Austria headed by Andrea Hagmann would visit Georgia in September.      
 
On the sidelines of the visit to Austria, Minister Janelidze took part in Austria-Georgia Business Forum, held at the initiative of the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the Embassy of Georgia in Austria.
