The meeting of Group of Friends of Georgia has been held in the frames of the OSCE Ministerial Council

Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili is participating in the 22nd meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council officially opened in Belgrade, on 3 December 2015.  
 
Prior to the plenary session of the OSCE Ministerial Council, a brief meeting of the informal Group of Friends of Georgia was held at the U.S. initiative. The Ministers reaffirmed their support for Georgia and expressed their readiness to duly highlight Georgia’s issues in the frames of the Organisation.
 
On the sidelines of the Ministerial Council, Giorgi Kvirikashvili will hold bilateral meetings with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Michael Georg Link, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Astrid Thors, OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović and Foreign Ministers of other countries.

At the Ministerial Council plenary meeting, Giorgi Kvirikashvili will deliver a speech, focusing on the security challenges to OSCE and on the current heavy situation in Georgia’s occupied territories.
