The Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister has met the Philippine Ambassador to Georgia

On 3 May 2016, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania met Ambassador of the Philippines to Georgia (with residence in Ankara) Maria Rowena Mendoza Sanchez.
 
Talking points included issues on the agenda of co-operation between Georgia and the Philippines and prospects for further enhancement of relations. The sides expressed their readiness to hold the second round of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries in Tbilisi in the near future.
 
Discussions focused on the need to enhance the trade economic relations. The sides expressed the readiness to facilitate the strengthening of ties between the private sectors of their countries and in this context to plan and carry out the relevant measures.
 
Talking points included the necessity of developing co-operation in the sphere of culture.
 
The issues of exchanging high-level visits were also discussed.
 
The Ambassador reaffirmed the Philippines’ readiness to promote co-operation between Georgia and the ASEAN, when in 2017 the country will hold the chair of this organisation.
