Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in response to the attack in France

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia strongly condemns a terrorist act directed against the peaceful population celebrating Bastille Day – the national holiday of the French Republic in Nice, on 14 July 2016, leaving tens of people dead.
 
We are shocked by the tragic consequences of this barbarous act and extend solidarity and support to the people and the Government of the French Republic at this difficult moment.
 
Georgia strongly condemns any manifestation of terrorism and considers that this attack is a brutal crime against humanity targeting the world peace.
 
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia conveys its condolences to the families of those killed and wishes full recovery to the injured in this deadly attack.
