​David Zalkaliani has met with his Hungarian counterpart

3.04.2019, Washington – Within the framework of his visit to Washington, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani held a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Péter Szijjártó .
Positively appraising NATO-Georgia active co-operation, the Ministers noted that Georgia’s participation in the side event  held on the sidelines of the NATO Foreign Ministerial, as well as the Alliance’s high-level visits to Georgia clearly indicate that Georgia is high on the Alliance’s political agenda.
Péter Szijjártó  reaffirmed the Hungarian Government’s firm support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Conversations included issues relating to security in the Black Sea Region and Georgia’s close co-operation with NATO in this process. The Ministers reaffirmed that Georgia has all practical instruments for integration with NATO that is recognized by the Alliance along with the progress the country has made in terms of democratic, political and economic transformations.
The two ministers discussed issues on the agenda of bilateral co-operation. David Zalkaliani thanked Péter Szijjártó for his plans to participate in the Batumi Security Conference due to be held in November of this year.
