first Amman-Tbilisi-Amman flight has landed at the Tbilisi International Airport

29.04.2017, Tbilisi - The inaugural Amman-Tbilisi-Amman flight arrived at the Tbilisi International Airport on 28 April, at 16:40 marking the launch of direct regular air communication between the capitals of Georgia and Jordan.
Air Arabia Jordan, the Kingdom’s leading low-cost carrier will operate flights twice a week. Negotiations on launching flights between the two countries started in 2016 and moved to the active phase after Georgia granted visa-free travel to citizens of Jordan from January 2017.
Georgia’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Grigor Tabatadze was the special guest of the first Amman-Tbilisi flight.
Amman-Tbilisi-Amman low-cost direct  flights will increase tourist flows to Georgia and will also contribute to the deepening of people-to-people contacts, attraction of investments and development of tourism.

The welcome ceremony held at the Tbilisi international airport was attended by Director of the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency Guram Jalaghonia and Deputy General Manager at Tav Georgia Tea Zakaradze.
