The Committee of Ministers' Deputies of the Council of Europe will discuss the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories

On 3 May 2017, the Committee of Ministers' Deputies of the Council of Europe will discuss the agenda item “Council of Europe and the Conflict in Georgia”, which was preceded by the Secretary General’s consolidated report on the conflict in Georgia. 
 
The Committee of Ministers' Deputies of the Council of Europe will make a decision based on the decisions of 2014, 2015 and 2016. The Decision of 2017 will focus on Russia’s policy with respect to the occupied territories of Georgia and will be an important step towards defining the international status of the occupied regions.
