Indonesia gets interested in Georgia’s successful reforms

16.05.2017, Tbilisi - Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani held a bilateral meeting with Fadli Zon,  Vice Speaker the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia.
The sides discussed important issues on the agenda of bilateral relations between Georgia and Indonesia highlighting the importance of further expanding trade-economic relations, enhancing the level of co-operation in the area of tourism and people-to-people contacts. The Georgian side expressed the readiness to share its experience of successful reforms with Indonesia.

The sides also highlighted the importance of inter-parliamentary relations and appreciated the high-level of co-operation between the legislative authorities of the two countries.
The Indonesian delegation was provided with information on the process of Georgia’s integration with the EU and the results achieved in this regard. David Zalkaliani also paid special attention to Georgia’s readiness to deepen co-operation with the countries of south-east Asia and regional organizations (ASEAN, AIPA).
