Lasha Darsalia meets OSCE Secretary General

On 18-19 July, 2019, Lasha Darsalia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, was on a working visit to Vienna. Within the framework of his visit, the Deputy Minister met Thomas Greminger, Secretary General of the OSCE, Head of the EU to the OSCE, permanent representatives of the OSCE member states and representatives of the Group of Friends of Georgia.
 
At the meetings organized within the scope of the visit, Lasha Darsalia informed foreign partners in detail about recent developments in the context of Russia-Georgia conflict, about
the situation on the occupied territories with regard to security and safety and human rights, as well as about a peaceful policy of the government of Georgia. The Deputy Minister also informed the partners on the efforts of the government of Georgia to further consolidate democracy and on the progress achieved by the country on the way to European and Euro-Atlantic integration.  
 
At the meetings, the questions regarding the relations between Georgia and the OSCE were thoroughly discussed; steps for future cooperation were planned.
 
During the visit, international partners of Georgia expressed their firm support to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and confirmed once again the readiness of the OSCE to actively participate in the process of Russia-Georgia conflict resolution.
