Mikheil Janelidze has met with NATO Secretary General's Special Representative

12.10.2017, Tbilisi - The Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikheil Janelidze held a meeting with NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai within the framework of the 11th annual Georgia Defence and Security Conference (GDSC) in Batumi.
The sides discussed the implemented and ongoing reforms, as well as Georgia’s practical instruments for integration with NATO. Talking points also included preparations for the NATO Summit in 2018.
Mikheil Janelidze highly appraised Georgia-NATO co-operation and the country’s Euro-Atlantic integration process. According to him, high-level meetings within the framework of NATO are held on a permanent basis at the level of Defence Ministers and Foreign Ministers.

“Georgia successfully implements all practical instruments that bring us closer to our ultimate goal – membership of NATO” – Mikheil Janelidze told journalists.
