Mikheil Janelidze has opened the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary since the foundation of the first democratic republic of Georgia.

10.05.2018, Tbilisi - Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze opened the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary since the foundation of the first democratic republic of Georgia.

The exposition is dedicated to Georgian diplomats, first ambassadors of Georgia abroad and foreign politicians serving in Georgia.
“The exhibition aims at raising awareness about Georgian diplomacy, which derives its origin from 2018. Georgian diplomats then did their utmost, through very scanty resources, to promote the young democracy internationally, to invite high-level officials to Georgia and to ensure that the interests and position of Georgia are upheld beyond its borders. They achieved a great deal within a very short period of time, and Georgia’s progress, its democracy and its compliance with democratic standards is reflected in a great number of documents” – Mikheil Janelidze said.

The exhibition was co-organized by the Georgian Foreign Ministry and the Georgian Democratic Republic Centre, within the framework of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary since the foundation of the first democratic republic of Georgia.
