 2.11.2018, Batumi – The enlargement of NATO has demonstrated that historically it brings only security and stability to the countries and the regions towards which it enlarges” – the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili said when commenting on the third panel of the 12th Georgia Defence and Security Conference focusing on Challenges to the Euro-Atlantic Community – Adapting to the Changing Security Environment. 
 
Speaking about Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration process and the progress achieved on this path, the Deputy Minister paid special attention to the close relations between NATO and Georgia and highlighted Georgia’s role in strengthening Euro-Atlantic security and its important contribution towards NATO Missions.
 
Among the speakers were the Minister of National Defence of Lithuania, Raimundas Karoblis, Deputy Secretary at Ministry of National Defense of Turkey   Yunus Emre Karaosmanoglu and the Director of International Security Policy at the UK Ministry of Defense, Nick Gurr.
