Georgian diplomats have met with the Prime Minister of Georgia

21.12.2018, Tbilisi – Within the framework of the Ambassadors’ Conference, a meeting was held with Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze.

Speaking about Georgia’s foreign policy, Mamuka Bakhtadze highlighted the Georgian Government’s reforms and priorities, as well as the challenges Georgia is faced with. Special attention is paid to Georgia’s relations with the EU, NATO and the U.S. – Georgia’s key strategic partner. The Prime Minister also paid special attention to the importance of deepening relations with Georgian Diaspora abroad.

Mamuka Bakhtadze identified occupation as one of the key challenges of Georgia. He emphasized the support of European partners in overcoming the challenges and the significance of the Georgian Government’s peace initiative “A step towards a better future”.

Within the framework of the meeting, the Prime Minister brought to the attention of heads of diplomatic representations the economic priorities of Georgia. Speaking about the ongoing energy security projects, Mamuka Bakhtadze highlighted the importance of transforming Georgia into a transit and logistic hub.
