Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in reaction to ballistic missile test by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia expresses its deep concern over the flagrant violation of international commitments and a range of UN Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2321 (30 November 2016)  on Nuclear Tests, by the  Democratic People's Republic of Korea and condemns Pyongyang’s recent test of a ballistic missile on 12 February  2017.
 
As a contracting party to the Non-Proliferation Treaty and to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, Georgia opposes any action disrupting international nonproliferation efforts and posing a threat to peace in the region.
