“Georgia-U.S. relations are based on common interests and values” – Mikheil Janelidze

29.04.2017, Tbilisi – The Tbilisi Jansugh Kakhidze Centre for Music and Culture was a venue for a concert held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the U.S.
 
Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze and U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Ian Kelly spoke before the attending audience.

Mikheil Janelidze focused on the firm partner relations between Georgia and the U.S. describing as invaluable the United States’ support for Georgia.

Accoridng to the Minister, Georgia has achieved important progress on its Euro-Atlantic integration path. Mikheil Janelidze thanked the U.S. side for friendship saying that the United States is one of the best friends and this friendship is based upon confidence and common values.

The Minister expressed his special thanks to the former U.S. Ambassadors to Georgia who arrived in Georgia specifically for this occasion and whose contribution to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries is tremendous. Mikheil Janelidze also thanked Ian Kelly and other representatives of the Embassy for their support and assistance in organizing anniversary events.
