Eighth round of political consultations held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Kazakhstan

16.10.2019, Tbilisi – The eighth round of political consultations at the level of deputy ministers was held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Kazakhstan.
 
The sides discussed a broad spectrum of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and the ways to deepen political, economic and humanitarian relations between the two countries including within the framework of international organizations. The sides noted with satisfaction growth in trade turnover between Georgia and Kazakhstan and the flow of tourists from Kazakhstan to Georgia.
 
Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandre Khvtisiashvili brought to the attention of his Kazakh counterpart the difficult humanitarian situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and the Russian Federation’s activities across the occupation line. The head of the Kazakh delegation, for his part, reaffirmed his government’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
