The Georgian delegation has met with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

16.05.2018, Astana - the Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev. 
 
The meeting from the Georgian side was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara's Autonomous Republic, Zurab Pataridze and the Executive Director of the Partnership Fund Davit Saganelidze, and from the Kazakh side – the Energy Minister, Kanat Bozumbaev and Minister of Investments and Development, Zh. Kassymbek.


The sides discussed the enhanced level of co-operation in the areas of trade and economy, tourism and transport.  Special attention was paid to the participation of the two countries in the international transit projects. Special note was take of Georgia’s and Kazakhstan’s involvement in the Silk Road development process and Astana’s increasing interest in the railway projects.
 
The sides expressed their commitment to contribute to the development of bilateral investment projects. They reaffirmed that the business communities of Kazakhstan are interested in Georgia’s business and investment potential. Special note was taken of Kazakhstan’s successful investment projects in Georgia.

The Kazakh and Georgian officials also discussed bilateral interaction between the executive and legislative branches of government of the two countries. The sides expressed readiness to promote the development of tourism at the level of both: central government and autonomous republic of Ajara.
