Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze has been appointed Vice-Premier

12.07.2017, Tbilisi - Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili announced the appointment of Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze as Vice-Premier at today’s meeting of the government.  

"By appointing Mikheil Janelidze as Vice Premier we have once again highlighted the importance of foreign policy priorities for Georgia.   Mikheil Janelidze is credited to have taken very successful steps as Foreign Minister. Successful completion of the visa liberalization process was very important and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made its lion's share in it” - Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
 
“I’d like to thank the Prime Minister for this trust. When the Foreign Minister’s political status is elevated this contributes to the implementation of foreign policy goals and is yet another proof that Government is particularly focused on foreign policy- Mikheil Janelidze said following the government meeting.
