The Georgian Foreign Minister, David Zalkaliani has congratulated the Kazakh people on the 27th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan

07.11.2018, Tbilisi –  The Georgian Foreign Minister, David Zalkaliani took part in the reception held on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
 
Speaking about Kazakhstan’s successes over the past years and excellent bilateral relations between Tbilisi and Astana, Zalkaliani congratulated the Kazakh Ambassador and people on the 27th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as on the 20th anniversary of Astana.  He also recalled the largest trade economic exhibition Astana-2017, which was attended by the Georgian delegation as well.
 
“Bilateral relationship between Georgia and Kazakhstan can be described as exemplary. Within the framework of the visits of the President of Georgia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Kazakhstan we reached agreement on many important issues, including on the deepening of partnership. We have tangible results in the area of economy. In 2018 goods  turnover has increased over the past 9 months and already exceeds 100 mln USD. The number of tourists from Kazakhstan is over 50000. We also highly appreciate Kazakh investments in Georgia” – Zalkaliani said.
 
The reception was attended by representatives of the Georgian Government, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Georgia, journalists and other invited guests.
