“Success of the Georgian armed forces is an investment in better future” – Mikheil Janelidze

28.04.2017, Tbilisi – The Interagency Command Post Exercise “Info 2017” came to a close in Tbilisi. Participants of the training course were awarded certificates.
 
The award ceremony was held at the Ministry of Defence of Georgia and was attended, among other high-ranking officials from other agencies,  by Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze as well.

Speaking before the participants of the meeting Mikheil Janelidze highlighted the security challenges facing Georgia and the role of the Georgian armed forces in overcoming these challenges. According to the Minister, the high professionalism of Georgian soldiers is what makes Georgia a solid partner of NATO and the EU in ensuring international security.

Mikheil Janelidze paid special attention to the steps Georgia has taken towards integration with the EU and NATO. He spoke, in particular, on NATO’s initiative aimed at strengthening Georgia’s defence capability and the importance of granting Georgia visa-free travel with the EU.

“These achievements are, first of all, our investment in better future – achievements that would be hardly conceivable without your dedication” Mikheil Janelidze said to the participants of the training.
