The interim meeting was held within the frames of the Georgian-British Bilateral Political Dialogue (Wardrop Dialogue)

13.06.2018 - the Georgian Foreign Ministry hosted an interim meeting held within the annual bilateral political dialogue – Wardrop Dialogue – between Georgia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
 

The Wardrop Dialogue serves as a venue for both sides to discuss a wide spectrum of Georgia-UK co-operation. Meetings in the frames of the Dialogue are held once a year in London and Tbilisi alternatively.
 
The intermediate round held in Tbilisi was led by Director of European Affairs Department of the Georgian Foreign Ministry Nino Baratashvil and the Co-Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.  
  
Participants of the meeting discussed bilateral agenda of political-economic, educational and cultural issues, as well as people-to-people contacts. The participants also spoke about he aims and tasks of the Wardrop Dialogue. Talking points also included issued to be discussed within the working groups.
It was agreed that the next plenary session of the Wardrop Dialogue will be held in Tbilisi, in 2018.
