Promotion of Georgia abroad - focus of Ambassadorial 2017

  19.07.2017, Tbilisi – One of the working sessions within Ambassadorial 2017 was dedicated to the ways to build up Georgia’s image abroad.

Vice Premier, Minister of Education and Science, Alexander Jejelava, Deputy Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Levan Kharatishvili,  Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Revaz Javelidze spoke before the participants of the meeting about the need to promote Georgia internationally in such spheres as sport and culture by organizing large-scale sports events in Georgia and highlighting the importance of Georgia’s cultural heritage abroad and close co-operation with UNESCO. Special attention was paid to education system reforms, the importance of exchange programmes and Georgia’s active involvement in the EU-funded Horizon 2020 programme.
The panel was moderated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Khatuna Totladze.
