Information on the meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of DenmarkOn 5-7 October 2009, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark Per Stig Møller is paying an official visit to Georgia. Within the visit the Danish Foreign Minister will hold meetings with the President of Georgia, with chairperson of Georgian Parliament, representatives of the parliamentary opposition, the Secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia.

The Minister also will meet with representatives of EUMM and the Danish Refugee Council. The Danish diplomat will also visit Sokhumi.

On 5 October, the Danish Foreign Minister met with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze. At the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and main directions of Georgia's European integration. The sides also focused on the current situation on Georgia's occupied territories, on the Report of Tagliavini's Fact-Finding Commission and process of Geneva negotiations. The Danish Foreign Minister underlined the significance of Georgia in the Region and Europe as a whole and reaffirmed Danish side's full support for Georgia within bilateral and multilateral format.
After the meeting a joint press-conference was held.
