On 5-7 October 2009, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark Per Stig Møller is paying an official visit to Georgia. Within the visit the Danish Foreign Minister will hold meetings with the President of Georgia, with chairperson of Georgian Parliament, representatives of the parliamentary opposition, the Secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia.

On 2-3 October 2009 in Tbilisi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia hosted the bilateral meeting dealing with issues of the state border delimitation and demarcation between Georgia and Armenia. The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan and the Georgian delegation - by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Jalagania.

On 2-3 October 2009, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S. Lavrov paid a visit to Abkhazia, Georgia's territory occupied by Russia.
