Within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah.
 
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides discussed the issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Kuwait and the prospects for the further development of cooperation.
 
The sides noted with satisfaction that relations between the countries are actively developing both in bilateral and multilateral formats. The Ministers also emphasized the importance of further deepening of trade-economic and tourism relations.
 
The sides positively assessed the increased number of tourist arrivals from Kuwait. They stressed the need to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental cooperation committee, under which the areas of cooperation between various sectors will be discussed in detail.
 
The sides welcomed the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Kuwait and noted that the anniversary date is a good opportunity to further deepen the ties between the two countries.
