The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, has met with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu

The sides  reaffirmed the close friendship and partnership between the two countries, which takes on a particularly meaningful importance in the face of the shared challenges and goals.
 
The sides welcomed the European Commission’s historic decision upgrading Moldova’s  and Georgia’s European integration process to a whole new level. Also, they exchanged information on the implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission.
 
The President of Moldova and the Foreign Minister of Georgia highlighted the importance of close coordination on the path to EU integration. In this regard, they referred to the Associated Trio as an important format to achieve the goals set for the future. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia welcomed the decision to hold the next meeting of the European Political Community in Moldova and expressed the hope that this format will help the two countries join the European Union.
 
Special attention was paid to the aggravated security environment in the region.
 
The sides welcomed the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Moldova; They noted the great potential for deepening bilateral relations and the will of the governments and peoples of the two countries to further deepen their partnership.
