Economic diplomacy atop the agenda of the Conference of Honorary Consuls of Georgia

A thematic panel on  economic diplomacy was held within the framework of the Conference of Honorary Consuls of Georgia - Cooperation for Strong Partnership.

The Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili addressed the participants of the event.

The participants were provided with information about Georgia’s business environment and investment potential. Special attention was paid to the reforms that facilitate doing business and investing in Georgia.
 The honorary consuls got acquainted with the foreign trade policy of Georgia, the international trade agreements in force in the country and the existing trade regimes.

Special note was taken of  the role of honorary consuls in the process of Georgia's economic development and of rapprochement with the international community.

Special attention was focused on the importance of strengthening trade relations and business contacts, as well as connections between chambers of commerce and industry.

The participants of the meeting highlighted Georgia's involvement in international transit and energy projects.
