On 10 September 2024, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, and Canada's ambassador-designate to Georgia (based in Ankara), Kevin Hamilton.
The discussion covered a broad range of topics concerning the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Particular emphasis was placed on the potential for enhancing cooperation in multilateral formats. During the meeting, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton reaffirmed Canada's steadfast support for Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Both sides expressed their commitment to continue and further strengthen the fruitful cooperation between their nations.
