Contest for the 2021 grant programme “Become a Young Ambassador of your Country” launched

At a briefing held on 5 April, the Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimer Konstantinidi announced the launch of the grant programme “Become a Young Ambassador of your Country”. The aim of the programme is to develop institutional relations with Georgian students and youths living abroad.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has been carrying out the grant programme since 2018, with the support of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). The programme is focused on building up the image of Georgia internationally by promoting its culture and upholding its national interests in the host countries. Besides the programme is a powerful mechanism to create an extensive network of Georgia’s foreign friends, to strengthen relations with Georgian communities abroad and to activate public diplomacy.

Under the Programme for 2021, young ambassadors will be selected through an open contest, in over 30 countries across the world. Applications to the contest will be filed from 5 April to 5 May.
