The Ministry of Foreign Affairs plans a series of events to be held online on the occasion of the Georgian Language Day, in order to help the Georgian Diaspora preserve its national identity and cultural uniqueness, deepen its links with their homeland, and improve the young people’s knowledge of the Georgian language. The closing part of the celebrations scheduled for 14 April will involve young representatives of the Diaspora.
The contest “Georgian Calligraphy” will be conducted as part of the Georgian Language Day celebrations. The aim of the contest is to raise awareness of the Georgian alphabet and calligraphy and to develop handwriting culture among the younger generation living abroad.
