Lasha Darsalia has met with the Finnish Ambassador to Georgia

On 7 September 2023, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Lasha Darsalia held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Georgia Kirsti Narinen (residence in Helsinki).

The first deputy minister and the ambassador highly appraised the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and Finland.

At the meeting, Lasha Darsalia paid special attention to the severe humanitarian situation in the occupied territories of Georgia and the facts of gross violations of international law and human rights. The Ambassador of Finland, for her part, confirmed Finland’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, including by joining resolutions and statements within the international organizations.

Discussions focused on the security situation in the region and Georgia’s role in ensuring peace in the region.
