In celebration of Europe Day, Georgia’s diplomatic missions abroad are actively participating in official events and receptions organized by European Union representations, local authorities, and the diplomatic corps.
In Brussels, the Embassy of Georgia will take part in an event organized by the European External Action Service (EEAS), hosted by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). As part of the program, the Georgian Embassy will present a national stand featuring Georgian wine and a variety of informative materials showcasing the country’s culture and traditions.
In the Kingdom of Sweden, Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Irakli Khutsurauli, participated in a Europe Day event held in Stockholm. Organized by the Embassy of Georgia, the event featured displays of Georgian national products, informational materials on the Georgian language and the country’s tourism potential, as well as traditional Georgian dances performed by members of the diaspora.
In Hungary, Ambassador Tamar Liluashvili participated in a Europe Day celebration in Budapest, held at the invitation of the European Commission and European Parliament representations.
In the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein, Ambassador Shota Gvetsadze attended a Europe Day reception in Bern, hosted by the EU Delegation.
In Croatia, Ambassador Zaal Gogsadze joined the official Europe Day ceremony organized by the European Commission Representation in Zagreb, held at Europe Square. In Slovakia, Ambassador Konstantine Kvachakidze attended a Europe Day reception hosted in honor of the occasion.
The Embassy of Georgia in Greece also took part in a Europe Day event held at Webster University in Athens.
Georgia’s embassies in the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Spain, and the Republic of Slovenia, as well as the Consulate General of Georgia in Barcelona, likewise participated in various events dedicated to Europe Day.
In Latvia, the Embassy of Georgia joined an event at the National History Museum of Latvia at the invitation of the European Commission Representation. Similarly, the Embassy of Georgia in Lithuania took part in Europe Day celebrations held in Vilnius.
Georgia’s diplomatic missions in Bulgaria and the Republic of Cyprus were also actively involved in events marking Europe Day.
In the coming days, Georgia’s Ambassadors to Moldova, Argentina, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, the Republic of Cuba, and the Republic of Korea- as well as the Embassy of Georgia in Indonesia - will likewise participate in events dedicated to celebrating Europe Day.
