On 1 December 2023, the 63rd session of the Council of National Coordinators of the member states of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM was held via video-conference.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Vladimer Konstantinidi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine, Permanent Representative of Georgia to GUAM, Giorgi Zakarashvili and employees of the European Department participated in the meeting from the Georgian side. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, as the chair of the GUAM, Mykola Tochytskyi, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Vladimir Kuk, Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Orkhan Zeynalov and the GUAM Secretary General, Altai Efendiyev.
The sides took stock of the measures implemented in the political, inter-parliamentary and sectoral areas, as well as planned for the end of 2023, as provided for by the GUAM agenda under Ukraine's chairmanship. Special accent was put on the transport and connectivity consultations with the EU and the importance of coordinated cooperation.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Azerbaijani side presented the priorities and information on the main directions of cooperation, which will take over the chairmanship of the SUAM in 2024.
