“In the coming years, Georgia's neighborhood policy will be balanced and based on the principles of protecting territorial integrity, sovereignty, fostering good-neighborly relations, strengthening security, and promoting peace and stability in the region” - the candidate for Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili said during her speech at the joint session of the parliamentary committees.
According to Maka Botchorishvili, Georgia will support dialogue and constructive cooperation between neighboring countries, as this aligns with the interests of the entire region. “Strengthening peace and stability is the best opportunity for fully harnessing the unique potential of our region” – the candidate for Minister of Foreign Affairs noted.
Multidimensional cooperation will continue within the framework of strategic partnerships with the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan to implement projects of regional and global importance.
Active cooperation will also continue within the framework of the strategic partnership with the Republic of Armenia, which has reached a new level.
“We are committed to maintaining an unprecedentedly high dynamic of political dialogue at the highest levels with all three countries in the region, as we have seen in recent years” – Maka Botchorishvili is quoted as saying.
