The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili participated in the Georgian-Slovak Economic Forum held in Považská Bystrica, Slovakia, on 9 June 2023.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister talked about issues relating to bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia. He emphasized that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Slovakia; He expressed his gratitude to the Slovak government for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia. Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili also gratefully noted the importance of Slovakia's technical assistance and the need to share experience in terms of integration into the European Union. During his speech, he focused on the importance of deepening trade and economic ties between the two countries and expressed the hope that today's economic forum will be the basis for establishing new economic and business ties between the two countries.
The economic forum was held with the support of Nodar Giorgadze, Honorary Consul of Georgia in Slovakia, President of GINO Holding. The Georgian delegation at the forum was led by the Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, and the Slovakian delegation - by the Slovak Economy Minister, Peter Dovhun. Companies operating in different fields of Georgia and Slovakia also participated in the forum.
