On 20 September 2024, Archbishop Ante Jozic, the newly appointed ambassador of the Holy See (Vatican), presented copies of his credentials to Vladimer Konstantinidi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Following the credential presentation ceremony, Vladimer Konstantinidi congratulated the ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished him success in his future endeavors. It is worth mentioning that since 2009, the ambassador of the Holy See has held the position of Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Georgia.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the strong, friendly, and productive cooperation between Georgia and the Holy See. Appreciation was extended for the Vatican's unwavering support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Archbishop Jozic, in turn, affirmed his commitment to further strengthening the ties between the two countries during his tenure as ambassador.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued active collaboration.
