Giorgi Zurabashvili has met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia

On 3 June  2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Zurabashvili, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia, Vesselin Valkanov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Georgia and Bulgaria. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to further strengthen political dialogue and sectoral cooperation. The importance of collaboration between the two countries in the regional context was also highlighted, especially with regard to harnessing the potential of the Black Sea region.

The parties reviewed matters concerning Georgia’s integration into the European Union. The significance of the Republic of Bulgaria’s support in the context of EU enlargement was duly noted.
