From 10 to 12 June 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, participated in the work of the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum.
He took part in the panel discussion titled “Transport Infrastructure – The Silk Road, Modern Routes”, alongside the Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, as well as regional representatives of the Asian Development Bank and the European Investment Bank.
In his remarks, the Deputy Minister highlighted Georgia’s strategic role in both regional and global transportation corridors. He also spoke about major infrastructure projects currently underway in Georgia, and the country’s involvement in transit initiatives of global significance.
During the visit, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili held a bilateral meeting with Babur Usmanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The two sides discussed key issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda, including trade relations, joint investment projects, and collaboration in tourism, transportation, culture, and education. The discussion also covered the organization of high-level visits and participation in major international events.
