The emphasis was made on importance of resuming the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meetings in Gali without any preconditions and ensuring the functioning of the IPRMs in Gali and Ergneti in accordance with the founding principles.
At the meeting the Georgian side sharply raised the issue relating to the deteriorating security, humanitarian and human right situation in the occupied regions and the territory adjacent to the occupation line. The participants of the meeting also discussed the intensified attempts of the Russian Federation and its occupation regime in Sokhumi aiming to restrict and block confidence-building projects.
