Maka Botchorishvili has met with Permanent Representatives accredited with the UN During Their Visit to Georgia

On 23 April 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, met with the permanent representatives of Burundi, Lesotho, Nepal, and Kuwait to the United Nations, who are visiting Georgia from 21 April to 27 2025. The Minister welcomed the ambassadors’ visit to Georgia and emphasized the positive significance of such visits.

During the meeting, the ambassadors were provided with detailed information regarding Georgia's foreign policy priorities. Special attention was given to the situation in Georgia’s occupied regions, the country’s regional role, the ongoing reforms, economic opportunities, and the process of Georgia's European integration. The discussion also touched upon current regional developments.

The parties addressed issues related to cooperation within the United Nations framework, as well as current processes within the organization and Georgia’s involvement in global efforts to address pressing challenges faced by the international community.

The UN-accredited permanent representatives visited the occupation line near the village of Khurvaleti and toured the IDP settlement in Tserovani. The ambassadors also visited the Tbilisi City Hall, where they were introduced to Georgia’s successful experience in providing state services.

As part of their visit, the UN representatives are scheduled to hold meetings with representatives of Georgia's legislative and executive authorities. They will also visit the regions of Kakheti and Adjara, where a meeting with the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara is planned.
