Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official/Service Passports was concluded at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on 21 September 2023. From the side of Georgia, the document was signed by the deputy minister of foreign affairs, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, and from the side of Pakistan - the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, Bilal Hayee.
After the signing ceremony, the sides held a bilateral meeting to discuss the current issues and future perspectives of relations between Georgia and Pakistan. It was noted that the two countries have strengthened their ties over the recent period and this makes its positive impact on both bilateral trade and education and tourism cooperation. The sides emphasized that there is significant potential for further development of relations, especially in the areas of trade and economy, tourism, culture and education.
Ambassador Bilal Hayee confirmed that Pakistan will continue to support Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and expressed his commitment to further contribute to deepening the relations between the two countries.
