On 15 May 2024, Georgia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, met with visiting counterparts from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Iceland: Gabrielius Landsbergis, Baiba Braze, Margus Tsahknas, and Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir.
During the meeting, the ministers focused on Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration process. Darchiashvili briefed his colleagues on Georgia's progress toward EU membership, outlining forthcoming steps. The meeting underscored Georgia's unwavering commitment to European and Euro-Atlantic integration, emphasizing close cooperation with partners in this endeavor.
They also discussed the imperative of enacting the "Transparency of Foreign Influence" law, reiterating its purpose to enhance transparency within Georgia.
At the end of the meeting, the ministers affirmed their readiness to sustain ongoing cooperation.
