Lasha Darsalia has presented copies of his credentials to the Canadian ambassador

On 24 November 2023, the First Deputy Foreign Minister, Lasha Darsalia met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Canada to Georgia, Kevin Hamilton (with residence in Ankara) within the framework of the credentials presentation ceremony. 

At the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues regarding relations between the two countries, including cooperation in the fields of defence and security, economy and trade, and prospects for their further development.

Particular attention was paid to global and regional political and security issues and to prospects of deepening cooperation in multilateral formats, amid the challenges facing the international community. During of the meeting, the Canadian ambassador to Georgia, Kevin Hamilton, once again confirmed Canada's unwavering support for Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The sides confirmed their willingness to continue and further intensify the fruitful cooperation between the countries.
