On 28 March 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, met with Regina De Dominicis, UNICEF's Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the priority areas of cooperation between Georgia and UNICEF, as well as future plans. In particular, they addressed the development process of the Country Programme Document (CPD) for 2026–2030, which will outline the framework for collaboration between Georgia and UNICEF. Special attention was given to the protection of children's rights in Georgia and the country's commitments under the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The discussion also covered the grave situation regarding children's rights in the Russian-occupied regions of Georgia - Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing close cooperation.
